De cine să ascultăm? De vocea celor care au “trecut prin viaţă”? Dar totuşi nu ne pot substituí – nimeni un îţi poaate trăi viaţa şi nimeni un are talentul tău. E drept că unele talente se moştenesc dar consider că nimeni nu trebuie forţat să urmeze aceaşi profesie ca părinţii, bunicii etc.
De ce să faci Facultatea de Psihologie? Doar pentru că ţi-ar place să afli mai multe despre tine? Ori pentru a-ţi vindeca singur(ă) traumele? Nu acesta este motivaţia corecta! Hai să vedem câteva motive pentru a nu alege această facultate…
Motive pentru a nu alege Facultatea de Psihologie în România
- Românii nu vor să audă de psiholog deoarece nu sunt educaţi în acest sens. Mediatizarea psihologului, şi a carenţei acestuia în şcoli şi instituţii nu a dus la o deschidere mai mare faţă de această profesie.
- Costurile pentru cei înscrişi la cu taxă sunt destul de piperate, şi dacă vă gândiţi la o astfel de investiţie, ar trebui să aveţi măcar un loc de muncă asigurat, nu?
- Etichetarea persoanelor care merg la psiholog (făcută din incultură) duce la descalificarea profesiei, minimalizarea actului şi a eficienţei terapiei aplicate.
- Profesorii noştrii nu sunt destul de pregătiţi, sau prea puţin pregătiţi. Rar am întâlnit profesori buni. Nu să îţi dea notă la examen dupa câte pagini ai scris (indiferent dacă ai scris bine sau nu), nici să te lase să pleci acasă dacă s-a luat curentul şi nu mai vede să îţi citească cursul de pe laptop, nici să te amendeze pentru absenţe la seminarii... Aia nu e psihologie… e prostologie!
- Ajung să repete la master cursurile făcute în facultate şi te alegi cu banii daţi degeaba că nu ai învăţat nimic nou! Ȋnveţi de pe colaj de articole?! Asta nu prea e psihologie…
- Despre inutilitatea unor materii nici nu mai vorbesc… Da, e drept, fiecare vrea un salar, dar să şi-l merite.
- Cu cât încrederea în serviciile oferite de psiholog este în scădere faţă de alte servicii medicale, cu atât clienţii vor fi mai puţini.
- Pregătirea pentru formarea într-o terapie este extrem de costisitoare, preţurile ajungând până la 2500E. Gândiţi-vă dacă veţi avea destui clienţi pentru a vă scoate investiţia…
Concluzii
Sfatul meu, ca o persoană care a trecut prin experienţa Facultăţii de Psihologie este ca, înainte să vă decideţi pentru această facultate, să studiaţi cu atenţie ce posibilităţi aveţi după. Este frumos să înveţi despre om, despre tine, autocunoaştere etc. dar întreabă-te dacă aceasta îţi va asigura traiul. Viitorul nu trebuie văzut ca fiind ceva nedefinit sau nesigur.
Why Should You Not Go to the Faculty of Psychology in Romania?
When you are in the 12th grade and you feel the pressure of the
Baccalaureate, the pressure of parents' expectations on your shoulders… you
would like to please everyone and at the same time be the one satisfied with
the chosen option but it doesn't always happen that way…
Who should we listen to? The voice of those who have "gone through
life"? But still they can't substitute yourself - no one can live your
life and no one has your talent. It is true that some talents are inherited,
but I believe that no one should be forced to follow the same profession as
their parents, grandparents, etc.
Why sould you chose the Faculty of Psychology? Just because you'd like to
know more about yourself? Or to heal your own traumas? This is not the right
motivation! Let's see some reasons for not chosing this faculty in
Romania:
· Romanians
do not want to hear of going to a psychologist because they are not educated in
this regard. The media coverage of this profession, and its lack of appearance in
schools and institutions has not led to a greater openness to coming to a psychologist.
·
The
costs for those enrolled in the fee regime are quite high, and if you are
thinking about such an investment, you should at least have a job insured,
right?
· Labelling
people who go to a psychologist (because of illiteracy) leads to
disqualification of the profession, minimization of the professional act and
effectiveness of the applied therapy.
- Our teachers are not sufficiently prepared, or too unprepared. I rarely met good teachers. Not to should give you the exam mark guided by how many pages you wrote (whether you wrote well or not), nor should let you go home if the power went out and he/she can't see read their course from their laptop, nor to fine you for absences from seminars ... That's not psychology… it's stupidity!
- Teachers end up repeating the courses taken in college at the
master's degree and you wind up with the money spend in vain because you
haven't learned anything new! Do you learn from a collage of articles?! That's
not really psychology…
- I don't even talk about the uselessness of some subjects… Yes, it's true, everyone wants a salary, but to deserve it as well.
- The lower the confidence in the services provided by the psychologist compared to other medical services, the fewer clients there will be.
- Preparing for training in a therapy is extremely expensive, with prices reaching up to 2500E. Think about whether you will have enough customers to save your investment.
Final Remarks
My advice, as a person who has gone through the experience of the Faculty
of Psychology, is that before you decide for this faculty, to study carefully
what possibilities you have after. It's nice to learn about people, about
yourself, self-knowledge, etc. but ask yourself if this will ensure your livelihood.
The future must not be seen as indefinite or uncertain.
